Susan Hartnett
Executive Director
Susan joined the Center as our new Executive Director at the end of the summer of 2009. She has been active in the local cultural scene for nearly three decades, including a ten-year stint as the Director of the Boston Center for the Arts and five years in Boston City Hall, as Director of Economic Development for the Boston Redevelopment and then as Director of the Mayor's Office of Arts, Tourism and Special Events.
Will McMillan
DIrector of Marketing and Special Events
Will has grown through the ranks at CCAE. He started as a part-time events person, took over CCAE's public relations, worked on development, and served as assistant director for several years. He loves to write thank you cards and sing.
Obi Carrion
Program Director; Director of Student Services
Obi runs the registration office. You'll often see her smiling face in the office or at the front desk when you walk through our door. "I like keeping our students happy. When people leave here it's my job to make sure they're smiling and satisfied."
Julia Cavallaro
Associate Program Director
Julia Cavallaro is Program Director for Music; Business & Technology; Foreign Languages; Writing & Literature; Fun, Games & Travel (including sports & exercise); and Science, History & Humanities. A native Cantabrigian, Julia earned her master’s degree in vocal performance from the Boston University College of Fine Arts. She loves opera, early music, and graphic design.
Michael Cicone
Program Director
Michael is Program Director for Food & Wine; Dance & Theater; Visual Arts; and Life Issues: Mind, Body & Soul.
Malene Council
Welcome Associate
Malene helps register students for classes, and also helps with CCAE's Gonson Lecture series. "I like the homey feeling that everybody gets along here; it's like a home away from home."
Music she's currently listening to: "an R&B and hip hop mix."
Kevin Finn
Welcome Officer
Kevin oversees our customer service with Obi. "CCAE provides an opportunity for low cost high quality educational opportunites getting to work with really good people and interesting faculty, it's a way to keep adult education affordable."
