Tracy Marks, has been teaching adults at the Cambridge Center and at a variety of continuing education venues since 1979 - previously personal growth and literature courses, and since 1994, computer graphics. She has a B.A. and M.A. from Tufts University, and post graduate training in psychology. Tracy is a photographer, a licensed counselor, and an award-winning poet and author, whose four published books have been translated into ten languages. She loves to teach, and as an instructor is enthusiastic, knowledgeable, organized and responsive to student needs.

For beginning computer graphics students who do not wish to invest in the time and cost of Adobe Photoshop, the low-cost version of Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements (version 7), is the most viable alternative. In this workshop, we will become familiar with Elements? tools and palettes, and learn how to recolor, retouch, transform, and resave images. Lessons will include color correction, transformations, making selections, painting, retouching tools, text, filters, and optimizing images for the web and e-mail. Prerequisite: basic computer and file management skills. Limited to 8.
