Advanced Printmaking

This course is designed for continuing printmaking students who have studied basic techniques of nontoxic printmaking. We are introducing solar plate printmaking, a nontoxic etching technique. We will also experiment with the new water-based inks, which can be used for monotypes, collagraphs, chine collŽ, and woodcuts. The instructor will work closely with individual artists to further develop their imagery. There will be demonstrations and critiques from guest artists. Field trips to current exhibitions and to museum print collections will be scheduled. Bring supplies to first class; list will be sent to registrants. Limited to 10.
