Oil Portrait Painting

David Wenstrom

Instructor bio [+]

David Wenstrom studied at the R. H. Ives Gammell Educational Studios, Boston, under master painter Robert Cormier for 8 years in a traditional atelier setting. He also studied with the Cape Ann plein-air painter David Curtis. David's teaching derives from the best traditional studio drawing and painting fundamentals, not on encumbered manifestos or "do-as-you-will," but employing the American art system of whatever works for the individual student. His teaching uses nature (the outside, representational world) in a systematic manner of visual training.
