Denise Mickilowski was born in NYC, started her art career early, and attended the High School of Art and Design. She received a BFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. After Tyler, she worked as an art restorer for twelve years at LOWY in NYC. She decided to return to graduate school, came to Boston, and received an MFA from Boston University. Denise is represented by three galleries: Arden Gallery, Boston, MA; Fischbach Gallery, New York, NY; and William Baczek Fine Arts, Northampton, MA. She has been teaching at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education since 1996.

This is an introduction to the materials and mechanics of oil painting as well as the fundamentals of visual language. You will learn about composition, drawing, values, and color while working from still-life and other projects. No experience is necessary. Limited to 16.
