This video workshop combines outdoor shooting (weather permitting) with video editing and creating a DVD. Teams will create video segments that will be combined, mixed, and edited in a Mac computer lab. Modules include: considering an HD camcorder; camcorder key functions; developing a shooter's "eye"; dealing with problem situations; capturing intelligible sound; planning and editing a video project; creating an audio soundtrack; the editing process (transitions, titles, special effects, and mixing audio); authoring; burning a DVD; and printing labels. This course takes place in Harvard Square during Oktoberfest, so we will have a variety of video opportunities available to us. Equipment will be provided, but you may bring your own. Participants will receive a DVD on shooting and editing. Limited to 12.
