This course is intended for the beginner with a serious interest in the creative use of color and black-and-white photography. Learn the techniques you need to communicate with your camera and learn to take strong, effective photographs. Different cameras (traditional and digital) will be addressed, and several practical demonstrations will be given in the classroom. Technical considerations will share equal time with explorations of photo composition. Bring either your digital camera or your film camera with no film in it to the first meeting. Expect additional costs for film (for film cameras) and processing; costs will vary based on students? work and projects, and whether they are using film or digital cameras. Note: Section 02 is designed specifically for cameras with manual capabilities, and it concentrates on color photography. Limited to 15.
