Bob Gautreau is a professional entertainer since 1978. (See clip at www.bobgautreau.com) His comedy and impressions have taken him to clubs, colleges and cruises as well as HBO and An Evening at the Improv. He graduated from Emerson College in 1985 with a BS in Theater Education and has been teaching Stand Up Comedy and Improv Comedy year round at CCAE since 1996. Other courses taught seasonally include Sketch Comedy, Improv 2, Acting in the Romantic Comedy, and Women in Comedy. Not only are his courses fun and informative, they leave his students with a new, unique sense of freedom and empowerment.

Do you enjoy Whose Line is it Anyway? Have you ever thought you could improv and have fun doing it? Well, you can! This class will enhance the creative mind and increase performance, communication and cooperation skills through simple agreement exercises with an emphasis on comedy. You'll learn contrasts and comparisons, as well as contact, conflicts, and conclusions, through various games and exercises. You'll also learn how to create as you're speaking and stay connected to a focus. We will perform mostly two or three person scenarios as well as large group scenes. If you can't decide which comedy course to take first, this is definitely the one. Limited to 12.
