Sergio Brandao
Born and raised in the Ipanema neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sergio Brand‹o holds two Master's Degrees from New England Conservatory, in Composition and Jazz Performance. He is acknowledged by the public and the press, with 32 performances at the Regattabar, as well as at Boston's Hatch Shell, and multiple jazz festivals, with own Brazilian Jazz group, Manga-Rosa. His CD Brazilian Landscapes is available in various countries and on amazon.com.
Between 2005 and 2008 Sergio also worked with Portuguese literacy at the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Framingham, Mass. Ñ where 75% of the children are Brazilian or have Brazilian parents.

Portuguese, the national language of Brazil, is spoken by approximately 180,000,000 people around the world, including one million in Massachusetts! Beginner Level 1 is for students with no knowledge of the language. Develop your grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills as you continue through to our higher levels. This class requires the additional purchase of a textbook. Limited to 16.
