Originally from Illinois, Cheryl Clark Vermeulen has been living in Boston for ten years. She is the author of the poetry chapbook Dead-Eye Spring (Cy Gist Press). And her poems and translations can be found in the journals Third Coast, DIAGRAM, admit2, Can we have our ball back?, Carve [poems], Dispatx, and eXchanges, as well as the anthology Connecting Lines: New Poetry from Mexico. She hopes to pass on her love of poetry and of all types of writing.

Application to this course is competitive, but the atmosphere of the course itself is supportive and vigorous. In the recent past, this workshop's population has been comprised of individuals with M.FA. degrees, or individuals who are now candidates at M.F.A. programs; individuals with published poems and/or collections; and individuals whose free verse writing is of an "advanced" nature. From semester to semester, there is a 75 percent rate for students who return for additional semesters. Please submit a five-seven page manuscript to the Cambridge Center by no later than Tuesday,March 16. Limited to 12.
