This outdoor course is for painters with some experience who want to focus on landscapes, buildings, and other structures. Working in oil, we will focus on depicting forms and space in convincing light, learning the essentials of perspective, and mixing color. Light, shade, and shadow give solidity to forms and unity to space. We'll work on mixing satisfying greens and finding color harmony. Basics of depicting architecture will be discussed. Locations for our painting sessions will be near the Cambridge Center. A materials list will be sent to students. Limited to 9.
