Holly Fair 2014

Celebrate the holiday season at Cambridge's oldest crafts fair held in our two historic buildings in the heart of Harvard Square.

The event is happening on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm. Please note that due to popular demand, we have extended our Saturday holiday hours.

There will be a tremendous variety of beautiful and affordable things to buy jewelry, hats, bags, sweaters, scarves, natural beauty items, soaps, ceramics, stained glass, ornaments, photographs, cards, prints, paintings, food, and much, much more - ranging in price from $2 to $200.

Holly Fair is a great place to find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts while supporting local artisans and raising money to help us keep our classes as accessible as possible. Vendor rental fees benefit CCAE's scholarships and public programming.

Holly Fair at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education Guidelines for 2014 Vendors

Holly Fair is a weekend-long event featuring products by 80+ local artisans hosted in our two historic houses. The event attracts 5,000 shoppers each year. Running for more than 60 years, it is known in the community as a great place to find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, supporting local artisans, and benefiting the CCAE's scholarships and public programming.

Holly Fair 2014 will be held on Saturday, December 13, from 10:00am-6:00pm and Sunday, December 14, from 12:00pm-5:00pm. Participation is required for both days. Please note that due to popular demand, we have extended our Saturday holiday hours.

Application Process:

All vendors both returning and new are asked to fill out the on-line registration form at http://www.ccae.org

Returning vendors applications for priority booking are due no later than Friday, August 15, 2014 at 5pm.

Vendor Selection Process:

CCAE's jury works to select the highest quality vendors for each Holly Fair while also creating the best mix of products for our customers including but not limited to art, craft, food products, clothing, papergoods, music etc.

Returning Vendors:

Returning vendors will be notified no later than Friday, August 22, 2014 whether or not CCAE can accommodate your request for space. If accepted, then a 20% non-refundable deposit will be due Friday, September 5, 2014. If you do not meet this deadline, CCAE will offer your space to another vendor.

The balance of your fee will be due on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 5pm.

As in past years, we anticipate more than 500 people will apply to participate. If you are accepted, it is very important that you submit your payments both your deposit and your final payment on time. If you do not, we will offer your space to another vendor.

CCAE reserves the right to make all final decisions on its Holly Fair vendors. However unlikely, there is a slight possibility that a vendor from 2013 may not be invited to participate in 2014.

New Vendors:

New vendors who want to participate in Holly Fair 2014 for the first time will be notified no later than Friday, August 29, 2014. If you are successful in the first stage of the jury review, you will be invited to CCAE for an interview scheduled between September 5 and September 19, 2014. Please do not apply if you are not able to come to CCAE in Harvard Square during this period of time as the interview is an important part of the selection process.

New vendors will be notified no later than Friday, September 26, 2014. In order to reserve your space, a 20% non-refundable deposit will be due by Friday, October 10, 2014 at 5pm.

As noted above, there is high demand for booth space at CCAE's Holly Fair. If you are accepted, it is very important that you submit your payments both your deposit and your final payment on time. If you do not, we will offer your space to another vendor.

Not all applicants will be asked to interview; not all vendors who are invited to an interview will be accepted for the show.

Waiting List Process:

If you miss the August 15, 2014 deadline, you can fill out an online application form at any time; we will develop a waiting list. Each year, a few vendors are selected from that list. We contact vendors on the wait list in the event that not all spaces are filled and/or when a vendor drops out unexpectedly.

Vendor Booth Information:

CCAE provides each vendor one 6' x 2.5' table. Vendors may choose to bring their own table and/or display racks but these must fit into the allocated space without crowding your neighbors.

Vendor Fee Information:

The Center works hard to maintain low fees for this event. Prices depend upon location and are as follows:
